Nirvana DVD Trailer 2006-10-29 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 4 Comments | A trailer for the upcoming Nirvana DVD has been posted online.
Live! Tonight! Sold Out! was compiled mainly by Kurt Cobain and issued on VHS shortly after his death in 1994, with drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Noveselic working with director Kevin Kerslake to complete the project in the way Kurt may have intended.
The DVD contains all of the footage from the original release, mainly concert footage from Nirvana's 1991-2 tour, however six new tracks have been added from a show in Amsterdam in 1991 and a bonus "easter egg" feature is also said to be included. It's due for release on November 7.
Live! Tonight! Sold Out! is the group's first ever DVD release, though the 21004 box set With The Lights Out did include a bonus DVD. Cobain's wife Courtney Love sold twenty-five per cent of the publishing rights to her husband's catalogue earlier this year for a reported $50 million.
