I didn't believe this at first, but it's understandable. If I was as busy as Portnoy I'd want to take a break as well. The band had no right to disagree with him on that, they don't work nearly as much as him.

They've had a good run, but they should just call it quits and leave Black Clouds and Silver Linings as their final statement, good way to go out. He may not have been as vital to their sound as Petrucci, but Portnoy's not gonna be easy to replace.

Pretty much every song from Awake is full of passion and feeling, as well as their album Images and Words. I seriously wonder how many of you people have actually listened to any of their older albums, it seems you are just pulling these insults out of your ass based on prejudice. Though I have to admit that their latest albums are pretty laughable when it comes to lyrical content and forgettable instrumental sections. Heck, I don't even like any of their albums after Train of Thought. Scenes from a Memory had a lot of the extended instrumental sections, but they were able to remain engaging.
