ooooooh!!!!!
stokeddddd
|
| |
that clip really don't sound too death metal influenced at all
|
| |
I mean I can't really hear it that well, but it doesn't sound like death metal in the slightest from what I can take. I'm glad to know they will still be using cleans though
|
| |
cant really judge the song based on that, but..
OMGTHEANTICIPATIONISKILLINGME
Successfully hyped
|
| |
STOKED
|
| |
HELL YES!!
That sounded SO sick. I am officially stoked beyond belief.
|
| |
A bit hard to hear, but I do have some faith now.
|
| |
it's ok but avenged sevenfold is still more metal
|
| |
which is to say not very metal
|
| |
but metal enough, i guess
|
| |
triplepost ftw
|
| |
thanks bro... i cant read your tar what do you want me to 5 i'll prob go do it no questions asked unless i've 1'd it somewhere else cuz that would be hypocritical
|
| |
Mind = blown
|
| |
This band fucking sucks. They're are just dick chodes trying to be heavy, but they aint shit, and their message is queer.
Just like every other bullshit christian band, preach preach preach- just won't shut the fuck up, no one cares where pastor smith touched you, you emo douche, now shut up and stop making overrated piece of shit albums and pretending you know God
|
| |
They're really not preachy.
|
| |
They really are shit
|
| |
Wow, 667 just exploded
|
| |

wow i disagree but love this so damn much. lmao awesome.
|
| |
and thats not ignorance its the goddamn truth
|
| |
idk how i feel about this news, i mean its the last minute of the song and aparently the good part is the beggining of the song, either way, im intrested to hear what they do after aaron
|
| |
asiatic do you realize how ignorant that post made you sound?
Yes, I was being a dick for lols, and because It's fun to rant. I actually like a couple of christian bands, just not this one
|
| |
I tend to like Christian lyrics, but as long as they remain in the area of "overcoming hardships" and etc. Similar to what these guys and August Burns Red do.
|
| |
did anyone else notice chris just beating on a random drum with a stick during the beginning of the video? haha
|
| |
Hard to hear, but the more Spencer, the more I will love this. Liked Aaron's cleans, but Spencer is one of my favorite harsh vocalist so I'm excited
|
| |
AHHHH
"The first 10 seconds of the new Underoath song are the heaviest I have ever heard the band…ever. It verges on death metal with blast beats and chaotic guitar mashed with a deep growl from Spencer. I was stunned."
i fucking want this. now.
|
| |
I'm sooo excited for a heavier Underoath. OMG OMG
|
| |
Hopefully the amount of pretension and melodrama in their lyrics/overall sound will drop minus Aaron. Still not even marginally stoked for their next release, though.
|
| |
actually really excited
|
| |
That sounded about as good as anything they've ever done before.
I am so stoked
|
| |
lol, that's far from being the heaviest thing they've ever done. that would be, heart of stone i think?
|
| |
very much looking forward to their next album
|
| |
I'm pretty sure this record will blow DGTL and LITSOS out of the water. Hope I'm not wrong.
|
| |
I saw it played tonight. The article definitely exaggerates. In fact, I don't remember any blast beats. Nonetheless, it was heavy as fuck.
|
| |
Not so iffy about not having aaron now
|
| |
heaviest yet for anyone that hasnt listened to cries of the past...
|
| |
Just telling the truth. It was HEAVY, but it wasn't death metal. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the band was without Aaron.
|
| |
heaviest yet for anyone that hasnt listened to cries of the past...
fucking this. love that album
|
| |
death metal lol. I think they mean deathcore.
|
| |
Wasn't deathcore at all.
|
| |

|
| |
Holy fuck, August Burns Red is a Christian band? Holy fuck.
|
| |
Varg is a Jehovah's Witness.
|
| |
Michael Jackson was Catholic...
That's even funnier if it's true.
|
| |
dick chodes
lol
|
| |
Yeah eternium, I was at the show tonight too and completely agree with you. It was definitely very heavy, but not death metal. I thought the band did great without Aaron, but I have to admit that Tim can't really cover the clean vox that well. I mean he get's the job done, but the crowd makes up for the rest. Plus, Dan did a great job on the drums. Stoked for the CD, considering it'll be a lot like the unveiled song!
|
| |
i've seen underoath twice, they weren't preachy either time.. all spencer said was to believe what YOU want, and not what others tell you. opposite of preachy, am i right? and i was supposed to go to this show, but the ticket prices when i looked on the tabernacle's site were like 70 dollars.. and fuck that, even if BTBAM was there..
|
| |
yeah all spencer said about his faith was that it's helped him a lot in life and brought good things to the band. He said he doesnt want to force things on anyone and that he hopes everyone can find their own happiness, whatever it may be.
Pretty cool
|
| |
Eternium were you at the ATL show at the Tabernacle? Cause I saw that too and have to agree, it wasn't nearly as heavy was they make it sound. Nonetheless, it was still pretty good.
|
| |
Yes I was.
|
| |
Thats cool man, were you in the pits or the balcony?
|
| |
Pits until after Underoath, because I got hit in the head really hard and was in overall pain. So I went up into the seats like the pussy that I am. I came back down third to last AILD song and was partly in the wall of death.
|
| |
Spencer did find christianity and it helped him get off his cocaine addiction before joining the band, so having some sort of faith isn't always a band thing.
|
| |
*bad thing.
|
| |
cocaine is a hell of a drug
|
| |
Cocaine is my limit when it comes to drugs. At least Underoath aren't douchebags when it comes to their religion, unlike a lot of Christians.
|
| |
Should have hit that fucker back
|
| |
Ohh I gotcha hahah.
I feel your pain though dude, I got punched in the face 4 or 5 times in the pit.
|
| |
haha underoath doing death metal, what a joke.
|
| |
If you're referring to me, then no. Just kept on moshing d:
|
| |
I wear glasses, so I don't get directly into it.
|
| |
haha underoath doing death metal, what a joke.
yeah dude u right.
oh wait 2 of their releases are totally death metal
|
| |
except those weren't real death metal
|
| |
Strap those glasses on with an elastic band and get your ass in there.
|
| |
Death metal characteristics, but not death metal. Besides, the new song isn't like the early Underoath (which I don't like anyway).
|
| |
maybe not death metal in the traditional idea of death metal, but i really don't know what else you would call it.
|
| |
Metalcore with extreme metal influences?
|
| |
no
|
| |
let me rephrase...
i really don't know what else you would call it.
but definitely not metalcore with extreme metal influences.
|
| |
less-melodic metalcore?
|
| |
Like it matters anyway.
|
| |
Just "hardcore", if anything. A lot better now a days though they aren't really my particular thing.
|
| |
jus shitty metal?
|
| |
LITSOS is my favorite Underoath, narrowly beating DTGL.
|
| |
It's their 4th best.
Edit:
Meaning TCoT. I agree completely with what Eternium just said.
|
| |
jesus someguest, umad?
|
| |
I hate Dallas' vocals honestly. However, he sounds much better now with Maylene.
|
| |
I honestly don't mind the vocals. The instrumentation on that album is great.
|
| |
That is 100% true. For me, LITSOS sounded too similar to DTGL for me to give it the edge. Both are better than TCOT imo
|
| |
However, he sounds much better now with Maylene.
see that just tells me what COULD have been with underoath.
|
| |
yea it is
|
| |
I love Spencer's vocals.
|
| |
see that just tells me what COULD have been with underoath.
I was surprised with his cleans on their last record. Really though, I don't think he would fit with Underoath's new sound. I do think he's the better vocalist though.
|
| |
cocaine was mentioned somewhere in this thread. cocaine is awesome. acid is still my favourite though
|
| |
So pumped for this. Have seen these guys live 3 times and each time was mind-blowing.
|
| |
yes!
|
| |
Holycrapexcited.
|
| |
I dun really like these guys but I'll see what they'll come up with
|
| |
Damn, all it takes to please you motherfuckers is NOISE...... the louder it gets, the more members over here will jerk off to it ( practically and verbally ).
I didnt listen to the clip but their new album better not fuckin be death metal crap with blast beat and stuff...
btw, in case you havent noticed, i aint a death metal fan....
|
| |
Daniel Davidson = Norma Jean's old drummer, correct? Big fan of his drumming style, especially his work on Redeemer. I really liked the last two Underoath records and thought the "clean" vocals were the worst part, so this could be good.
|
| |
nah, jus sum unbrutal fgt
|
| |
Let's hope this album isn't a snoozefest like the last one. Damn you sputnik for rating it so high and making me buy that coaster. Don't know where those guys got off criticizing other bands' songwriting ability.
But hey, if the summary is accurate, which it probably isn't, this might be good.
|
| |
I like how sludgy LITSOS is.
|
| |
really stoked fot this. I hated LITSOS. glad aaron is gone.
|
| |
one of the biggest turnoffs about Underoath for me was Aaron's voice. now he's gone it should be pretty cool. I like Spencer's cleans. I haven't been crazy about anything they've done since Dallas left though.
|
| |
saw them in orlando at the first stop of the cool tour. i can say comfortably that the new guy is not as talented as aaron was on the drums. he actually missed a lot of stuff in the older songs, and his mustache looks completely retarded. and thats what matters.
|
| |
I was going to go to the ATL Tabernacle show, but just as someone said earlier, too much money just to see Underoath and BtBaM.
|
| |
*Double post
Stoked by the way.
|
| |
prolly was an old B-side song.
|
| |
I can't hear shite.
|
| |
underoath has always been very meh live.
i wanna hear the whole song. studio quality..
|
| |
Used to like this band.
|
| |
Why does Buddha get no metal praise? I mean he is soooo fat and cute! Fatcore anyone?
|
| |
STOOKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD
|
| |
So glad that this is happening.
|
| |
The Changing of Times was their best album, no doubt.
|
| |
I think all of their albums are equally awsome, exept for the less awsome ones are TOCS and AOD..Still theyre alright.
|
| |
shitty clip
heaviest yet?
noone remembers act of depression hahaha?
cries of the past?
n00b5auc3
|
| |
shut the fuck up about the changing of times
it sucks
this
|
| |
stoked²
|
| |
Agree with Ire.
|
| |
"underoath has always been very meh live."
whut
|
| |
Underoath is great live
I'm liking where this is going
|
| |
Underoath have been amazing both times I saw them.
|
| |
Shitty video, but I'm looking forward to their next album.
|
| |
Underoath are NICER DICER live.
|
| |
I actually really liked Aaron's clean vocals. He will be missed :[
|
| |
It won't be better than their first 3 albums.
The first two were heavily influenced by death and black metal.
|
| |
Changing Of Times is their best album, saying it sucks is a laughable opinion.
|
| |
i can't stand them live.
the changing of times is good, but i don't think it's their best.
dtgl is their best.
litsos was a surprise. i didn't think they could make something up to par with dtgl
|
| |
Have you actually seen them live or just watched one of their live vids? Their live vids don't do them
justice.
Each time I've seen these guys live was 90 minutes of pure mind-blowing bliss.
BTW Anything pre-Spencer sucked ie. Changing of the Times ;)
|
| |
they were actually decent live when i saw them in person with ABR.
but their videos/live cd are just fucking bad imo,
but i love underoath.
|
| |
Remember when everyone hated underoath? welllll their last couple of albums have been sick and im not worried in the least that this album will be sick as well.
|
| |
Remember when everyone hated underoath?
I don't need to remember
|
| |
Sucks that Aaron left. Why couldn't that fat keyboardist go? He does fuck all.
|
| |
I make little models out of my own turds. To glue the pieces together, I use Semen.
|
| |
congratz asiatic. you win.....

I'll base my next sculpture on that beautiful photo
|
| |
even a sculpture of enrique comprised only of feces and semen is still better looking than most men alive today.
|
| |
It's true.
My new avatar is an illustration of my "little Hobby"
|
| |
well im sure its led to many more new oppurtunities in life. think back to just a few weeks ago, when you didnt have this thing to complete your life. life seemed empty then i bet.
|
| |
Anyone who says Underoath sucks live is out of their mind.
Underoath is hands down the best live band I've ever seen.
Personally, I think Define The Great Line is their best CD followed closely by Lost In The Sound of Separation.
|
| |
Sucks that Aaron left. Why couldn't that fat keyboardist go? He does fuck all.
Chris is the fucking shit, man
|
| |
Poop.. I thought that this noise was Underoath, too bad quailty suck too much : /
|
| |
Sucks that Aaron left. Why couldn't that fat keyboardist go? He does fuck all.
Chris is the fucking shit, man
Watch live footage of him, its so funny. He is always going nuts, yet has nothing to actually do....kinda like the majority of Slipknot.
|
| |
I finally found a video of the whole song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MANw-oMFvog
|

HAHAHAHAHA
That keyboardist seriously makes me laugh.
But seriously, Aaron was a killer drummer with a good voice, wonder what they will sound like without him?
|
| |
They will not be death metal!
They will go heavier obviously, since aaron isn't there, but they will still have the Underoath in them that we all love.
|
| |
Brooks from Sullivan -> new cleans. MAKE IT HAPPEN, INTERNET!
|
| |
AWESOME.
|
| |
