True. But method acting is still two words, one of which is acting. Generally, people like Dustin Hoffman, Shelley Winters, and Robert DeNiro learn how to carry a scene before they start mutilating themselves.
And if Fiddy's voice-over work is anything to go by, his acting can charitably be described as pedestrian. So I really get the impression this is less dedication to the craft and more another of his admittedly clever ideas for garnering publicity. I loathe his music, but I give the man credit where due. He certainly knows how to play the media circuit.
