It seems to me that Slipknot was gateway band for many of us in our adolescent years. It was for me as well, and i wouldn't be into music i am today had it not been for them. And i still think Prosthetics is a pretty good song, even if most of their other stuff if angry teenage angst.

Him and joey actually wrote all of the music for 'Iowa' by themselves, and i would like to think that Iowa was their heaviest album.......

I actualy dont mind Slipknot, always a bit of fun! I do agree the sentiments about his playing though. I read an interview in "Bass Guitar Player" I think, and he mentioned how players who you couldnt hear realy annoyed him- yet his playing was almost non-existant on the albums, especialy the one he was plugging- Subliminal Verses.

Glad I saw Slipknot with Coheed and Trivium last year. I think that if they said that they were going to split if one of the members did, then they should stick by it and not try to produce music that sucks like A7X did after the Rev died...still...metal will never be the same without Paul or Slipknot in general...I've been listening to Slipknot since I was 13 as well...

a7x have only released one song since the rev died, and he still wrote the drum parts....although it's still not looking promising regardless
