Sylosis Part Ways With Vocalist

2010-05-20 by Metalstyles | 13 Comments
UK metal band Sylosis have parted ways with vocalist Jamie Graham.

The band confirmed the split on MySpace: "Rumors have been circulating for a few days now and we can confirm that Jamie is no longer a part of Sylosis. We've felt we've been growing apart and pulling in different directions for a while now. It was a tough conclusion to come to but we felt it was best.

"Being so close to releasing our second album and moving in a slightly new direction we felt it would be best not to record with Jamie and make a fresh start before we go full steam ahead into touring. The band is both thankful and proud of the success shared during Jamie's time in the band and it wont be forgotten. We wish him the best of luck with his all future endeavors and his label Siege Of Amida."

Big shame, he was a great vocalist. Had these stay at ours a couple of times when they needed a place to crash after gigs, real nice dudes, and an incredible band. Good luck finding a replacement.

Yeah this is quite sad, dude was a solid vocalist for sure. Whoever they replace him with better live up to Jamie. I love both The Suppreme Oppressor and Conclusion Of An Age, so I hope their upcoming album is of the same class.

FUUUUUUU

Love this band, and their vocalist was a perfect fit. I hope this won't interfere with the quality music they produce.

Sucks, and hopefully with this new direction that doesnt mean a change of vocal style (ie more cleans).

Yeah this really blows. Hopefully they can find someone good to replace him because Sylosis have a ton of potential.

if theyre moving in different directions, what kinda vocal styles are they looking for? he was a good fit, and performed well when i seen them live. He seemed a lil bit arrogant though.
