New Nine Inch Nails album due next year

2006-09-08 by Alex101 | 19 Comments
Nine Inch Nails is reportedly working on material for its next album, according to Launch Radio Networks. Band leader Trent Reznor is said to be writing songs with an eye toward releasing a new disc sometime next year, although there's been no official confirmation of those plans.

Reznor, meanwhile, did post a message at the official Nine Inch Nails web site on Monday (September 4), in which he wrote, "If you have the opportunity, I highly suggest watching Spike Lee's documentary 'When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts' currently playing on HBO. It's a very well done look at what happened and is happening now in New Orleans." Reznor lived in New Orleans for 10 years before moving to Los Angeles in late 2004.

Reznor and Nine Inch Nails played at last year's Voodoo Music Experience, which was the first live music event in the city after Hurricane Katrina.

The next Nine Inch Nails album will follow 2005's "With Teeth", which was the group's first collection of new material in six years, reprots Blabbermouth.net.

you dont need shitty drugs to make great music, just look at people like john frusciante and what theyve made while off them. This Message Edited On 09.08.06

Hopefully this album has some descent songs on it. With Teeth was his worst effort. It had some good songs and then some really bad ones.

He COVERED Hurt, he didn't write it.

Um.... no....
I just hope he doesn't rush it and we get crap. It's always taken Trent an assload of time to put out new records but he hasn't disappointed me yet. I can wait if it means another good NIN album.

Nice, can't wait to hear some new tracks. I do hope it will be better than With Teeth though, but it should be fine.
