2009 = one of the best years in music, this should be a great record.

Pelican has never disappointed, this should be good.

Of course they did pull out City of Echoes after The Fire....

idk alot of people don't like City of Echoes, while i actually think it's great. so to me they still have yet to disappoint. as long as they stick primarily to their roots, this will be solid.

city of echoes was not bad by any means, just disappointing compared to the two previous records

maybe slightly disappointing. but the first two are pretty stunning, so i would prefer the phrase "less amazing" to "disappointing."

I like pretty much everything Pelican have done except for the last album. And yeah, they really need to fire the drummer

The drums actually sound good on this album. That makes me excited.

I'll be picking both this and BTBAM's new album up on Oct. 27.
