They need to hang the hat now. "Make Believe" was horrid.

I love 'The Blue Album' and 'Pinkerton' must be one of the most underrated record ever but as Storm In A Teacup said they need to bow out now, they're out of time and ideasThis Message Edited On 07.12.06

It's such a shame, Pinkerton really is a masterpiece, but they've gone quite far downhill.
|
| |
Eh, I don't care. They can't recapture the high they had in the nineties. Basically, listening to their mediocre new stuff is depressing.
|
| |
They've run out of fuel. Make believe was a bad album
|
| |
I wish they would get their act together and produce a mind-blowing amazing record. I dont want to see them go
|
| |
Thank God it's over. That Beverly Hills song snnoys the f**k outta me.
|
| |
Normally I would be really sad when one of my favorite bands breaks up, but their last album was so terrible, I really don't care that much.

Ehh. Yeah the new stuff sucks, but I still think Cuomo could write mindblowing stuff if he actually wanted to. But he doesnt.
|
| |
These guys have written some great material, but based on their latest efforts, I'd say they are about done.
|
| |
Beverly Hills. Could there be a worse junior high dance anthem?
|
| |
yeah we're all on drugs
|
| |
Hmm...I was hping they would try and turn their career around, but whatever. I won't really miss them.
|
| |
NO WEEZER NO!!!! Oh well, your new stuff kinda sucked anyways....
|
| |
F*** Rolling Stone! If they hadn't named Pinkerton the worst album of 1996, then Rivers feeling's would never be hurt and Weezer probably would be able to maintain the genius of The Blue Album and Pinkerton and we could all be happy, but whatever. I'll miss them.
|
| |
What? Oh, fuck! Damn-it!
|
| |
Ugh, they used to be so good too..
|
| |
Yeah the use to rock. Man it's a shame. (sniff) I don't want them to go (sniff)
|
| |
i like we're all on drugs but thats about it from their new stuff. i havent heard that much of their pinkerton stuff but man it was way better then make beleive.
|
| |
If they do record, I would be content with another Green Album, just not Make Believe.
|
| |
Make Believe was a miserably poor album. Good riddance. This Message Edited On 04.20.07

My mom is a huge fan of Weezer. When I told her she was mad at me for telling her this.
|
| |
haha
|
| |
oh noes
*emo tear*
I never really liked them, they bore me
|
| |
...i liked make believe. i think people underrate it. that said, pinkerton and the blue album are amazing. it's a damn shame...
|
| |
"I wish they would get their act together and produce a mind-blowing amazing record. I dont want to see them go"
exactly.
|
| |
Okay, Weezer used to have good music. I think part of the reason they are splitting up is because Rivers is realizing what they are turning into. Weezer has already lost dignity in most of their old fans eyes, so instead of just going back to the old music, he is starting a new band altogether.
Who knows, just a thought. Nutty.
|
| |
The new album was probably the biggest waste of $12.00 I spent. I was actually excited for Make Beleive to come out back when it did since Weezer used to be a good band. In the garage will always be one of my favorite songs.
RIP Weezer

I really care, I think every album had that special something, but it looks like I'm the only one in the world. Rivers and Matt Sharp need each other; they're definately one of the greatest duos ever.
|
| |
furhtermore, Rivers needs to let the band in on the songwriting, as someone else stated in a review, they're all pawns on the Rivers Cuomo bandwagon. Don't get me wrong, he's a great songwriter, but the spark isn't there that was present when Matt Sharp contributed.

GOOD RIDDANCE!!!
I hate Weezer because I can and I like to!
|
| |
blue album kicks ass and so does pinkerton!!! weezer should reinvent themselves
|
| |
grr if weezer leaves stevo will be angry!
|
| |
should have called it quits after green
