I'm not to excited.

I dont much like the mars voltas, my first experience with them was seeing them open for soad and I thought they were to repetitive and boring.

i heard "A Vicarious Atonement" but I probably shouldn't have. it's just the album's "intro" in the same way that Son Et Lumiere was for De-Loused, so it doesn't have much actual "song" to it. ugh, i guess i'll just wait a LITTLE bit longer.

I haven't gotten any Mars Volta albums yet, but I enjoyed thier opening performance for System of a Down. Would De-loused in the Crematorium or Frances the Mute be a better starting point?

Go for Deloused first. It's more accessable.

Yeah, I just realized release dates mean nothing since leaks were...invented.

Repetitive? My god...there's nothing repetitive about a Mars Volta song, unlike SOAD they have very few conventional songs that follow a strict pattern.

I have the whole album as well...it is a somewhat different direction, but that is what I love about these guys. Great album

This is the greatest news i've heard since I was born. The lyrics are actually understandable in vicarious atonement, but the music is still spacy and out there. LONG LIVE TMV
