Jane's Addiction + NIN

2009-02-15 by red0 | 24 Comments
Jane's Addiction has seemed to have reformed and is making new material under the eye of Trent Reznor, after various images of Jane's Addiction and Trent Reznor appeared on the NIN photoblog, many showing the band recording material and Trent Reznor mastering it.

Also, apparently Jane's Addiction is joining NIN on their upcoming North American Amphitheater tour as a co-headliner.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG this is about the best news I've ever read on this site... And yes, it is because I'm a NIN fanboy. Jane's Addiction are really good, but I don't find it easy to listen to whole albums by them.

I'm pretty pumped. I'm not a die-hard fan of either of these artists, but this could be interesting.

Says the guy who is digging Snoop Dogg, says the guy who is digging the Melvins. Two fans of awful artists criticizing each other.

I read somewhere there are rumours flyin around about Reznor remixing some Britney Spears songs or some shit...dunno how legit that is, probably cause they're recording at the same studio, but still, seems Trent's going the producer route

Janes Addiction totally does not suck. If Trent Reznor is producing their new stuff you better believe its gonna be a smoker. And a tour?! Wow. I saw Janes in 03 on Lollapalooza and was honored to have seen em before they broke up. Glad to see its the original band though, thats for sure.

The thing about TR and Britney was just his sarcasm, there was nothing serious about it.

Trent's such an amazing producer, I'll listen to the album even though I don't like Janes Addiction.

Why would you laugh at me liking Tool? They're an amazing band. Musically, and intellectually.

And, I've heard Bullhead,Houdini, and Stoner Witch. And they were awful. I respect what the Melvins do. But I hate their music. Its horrendous.

Doesn't change the fact they're 93% of the time boring
And 7% is 'The Pot'

I agree that the 90's are coming back because that's when music was 'pure' - then again many of those artists are now looking to cash in on their dwindling popularity. In the case of seeing Jane's open for NIN, I for one do not care why it is happening, only that it IS happening.
