Evans Blue Vocalist Voted Out

2008-07-29 by Dreakon | 6 Comments
As per Wikipedia.org (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evans_Blue)

Quote:
On July 28, 2008 Matisyn posted on his MySpace page that he is "Formerly of Evans Blue." This was confirmed by Evans Blue on their Myspace page. Parker Lauzon of the band sent out a Myspace bulletin clarifying that Matisyn was voted out of the band due to his inability to make good decisions for the band. In the bulletin Parker is quoted stating that "We did not choose anyone over him he was simply voted out, not only because of musical differences but business differences as well. He simply was not making good decisions for this band anymore and we as a group have decided to move on."

As can be seen earlier on the Evans Blue wikipedia page, the band was also dropped by their record label Hollywood Records and that "the band" jumped at the opportunity to opt out of their contract. Perhaps this is one of the business differences that was alluded to in the quote? *shrugs*

I, for one, really like Evans Blue and I really don't like this. I enjoyed his vocals... I dunno how they'll replace him.

MySpace makes my wireless cut out for some reason. Is what I posted not true? If so, my bad.

"Why would you post news if it wasn't true?"

Because Wikipedia is a bad source, apparently? I assumed it was legit because it had direct quotes... that and it has been updated fairly regularly with news over the last few days. I wanted to post the news since no one else was and I don't really have the most convenient access to MySpace at the moment. My apologies to anyone upset by my use of Wikipedia.

Thanks for posting the actual blog entry. This Message Edited On 07.29.08

he has a whiny voice much like the guy from Trapt. I think the band will be better without him.

I agree he had a "whiny" voice, but honestly, I thought it was a relatively unique voice and damn could he sing some catchy choruses. Guess it depends on who he's replaced with...

I was really looking forward to the third album... This Message Edited On 07.30.08

Wow, honestly the one band that I could have said was my "favorite" has to go and screw themselves over by booting Kevin Matisyn and now they have doomed their career. If it was not for him they would never even became known. His unique voice most definately made the band and I am currently listening to the new album and it BLOWS. Ok, so not that bad, but compared to the first two it sucks pretty bad. It almost sounds like a shitty version of three days grace. Too bad, they could have been great.
