Amon Amarth Sound the Horn 2026-08-18 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 0 Comments | Amon Amarth have announced that their thirteenth studio album, The Allfather Awakens will arrive on October 2 through Metal Blade Records.
The Swedish melodic death metal veterans have accompanied the announcement with Gjallarhorn, the album's opening track. The ten-song record also features the previously released We Rule the Waves and acoustic single Upphaf and follows 2022's The Great Heathen Army.
The Allfather Awakens was recorded with producer Jacob Hansen across two studio sessions. Guitarist Olavi Mikkonen explained that the band completed each song -including its drums, guitars and vocals- before moving on to the next.
Amon Amarth will support the record with a UK and European headline tour beginning October 9. Orbit Culture and Soilwork will join them as special guests.
