Neal Morse Announce 2nd LP 2026-09-29 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 0 Comments | Neal Morse & The Resonance will release their second studio album, River of Light, on November 27 through InsideOutMusic. The announcement is accompanied by a video for its first single, Walk on Water.
Following 2024's No Hill for a Climber, the concept album draws inspiration from Terah, the biblical father of Abraham. Morse describes his story as a spiritual journey interrupted by exhaustion, sadness and resignation, with the son eventually completing what his father began.
Work started in October 2025 after the band's summer performances encouraged them to continue collaborating. The musicians initially developed enough ideas for a potential double album before narrowing the material to a single release.
Morse highlighted the contributions of guitarist Andre Madatian and vocalist Jonny Bisaha, whose interests in Rush and 1990s rock helped shape the new songs.
