Ellie Goulding Sues Managers 2026-08-18 by bluejasmine | 2 Comments | British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is suing her former managers, Ben Mawson and Ed Millett, claiming they failed to tell her that TaP’s parent company, HNOE, was partly and later fully owned by Live Nation.
According to Goulding’s lawsuit, this created a conflict of interest. Her managers were supposed to make decisions based on what was best for her career, but they were also connected to Live Nation, a company that could financially benefit from the deals Goulding signed. She believes this connection may have given her managers a reason to favor Live Nation over her own interests. The lawsuit also says that the managers had contracts preventing them from taking actions that could harm their business relationship with Live Nation or its companies. Because of this, Goulding argues that their loyalty to Live Nation may have conflicted with their responsibility to protect her financial and professional interests.
Mawson and Millett managed Goulding from 2018 to 2025 and received 20% of her earnings as their commission. During those years, Goulding signed several agreements with companies connected to Live Nation, including deals involving concert tours, merchandise and a documentary film. The "Lights" singer said she did not know that Live Nation owned her management company. Live Nation first bought 50.1% of the management company in 2015 and completely acquired it four years later. After the full acquisition, Mawson became the company’s CEO, while both managers reported to someone chosen by Live Nation’s CEO. Mawson and Millett also previously managed British pop star Dua Lipa, who later left them following undisclosed issues. They currently represent American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey.
Goulding is now asking for financial compensation and damages. The electropop star, who has returned to Sarah Stennett for management and WME for worldwide representation, is set to release her sixth studio album, I Know Too Much, on September 4. Goulding has already promoted the upcoming album with three singles: the introspective electropop track “Black Prada Dress,” the folk-inspired love song “4 Seasons,” and the house-driven "Ravers." She also recently appeared on British rock band Muse’s latest album, The Wow! Signal, featuring on the single “Hush."

Feels like too much circumstantial evidence to win any defined amount of money, but stinks of white-collar crime all the way.
| | | I hope she wins even though I agree it'll probably be a shitshow. Live Nation sucks ass and I hope I live long enough to see them crash and burn baby burn.
