Mitch Harris founds TourFlip

2026-05-24 by Voivod STAFF | 5 Comments
Known from his extensive run with grindcore veterans Napalm Death, guitarist Mitch Harris has designed and built a service which connects bands, crews, promoters, venues and festivals, in order to mitigate the loss of income due to streaming, and the high cost/increasingly complex logistics of touring, while securing fair wages and pricing for all involved parties.

TourFlip is scheduled to be fully operational this summer, and in that light, Harris has launched a crowdfunding campaign at tourflip.com. Through the service, the aforementioned agents will be able to remotely perform complex transactions that forgo the traditional and often uneconomical routes for everyone with a stake in touring.

The way Harris sees it, institutions such as investors and labels cannot care less about the livelihood of the people involved in touring, so the service hopes to provide the latter with everything that they need, in order to work things out.

sounds like a great idea that will be crushed to the ground somehow. crowdfunded projects are always a super rocky road, and most just piss off fans/investors by the end.

if it turns out then that would be really cool.

This sounds like a cool idea but I’m not sure logistically how it’s gonna work. Guess we will see.
