Cardiacs drop Downup

2025-08-28 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 2 Comments
Progressive maestros Cardiacs have released the second single from their upcoming final album LSD.

"Downup" follows on from "Woodeneye" in a style more reminiscent of the material heard on 1992's Heaven Born and Ever Bright, and again features lead vocals from Mike Vennart.

Listening parties with live acts supporting will be taking place across the UK on 14 September, before LSD's global release on 19 September.

Glorious, triumphant piece of music. Tim would be proud of the range and emotion in Mike's performance. I stayed up late when this dropped learning the chords on piano. So much fun to play along to.

Hell yeah. Had this on repeat at work today, listened to it about four times without realising it'd repeated.
