This is monumentous! Truly incredible we’ll get to see this album in any form.

This is really cool

One of very few bands that I distinctly remember making me physically ill while listening to one of their albums. Enjoy retirement, though!
|
| |
lol tell me more about this
|
| |
OH, I just had to listen to Sing to God in a weekly album club once and it's just like.... the polar opposite of everything I like in music lol. More of a ME problem than anything else tbf.
|
| |
Fuck yeah, Mike.
|
| |
@dbizzles
ahh fair, they're not the easiest band to listen to
|
| |
super excited for this
|
| |
This is gonna make my year. I never thought i’d see the day.
|
| |
wow… I didn’t expect this. I guess I need to do a real deep dive into these guys. New ones really good
|
| |
I gotta do that too. Have only heard Sing to God.
|
| |
I just find it incredibly impressive when bands return after what seems to be a lifetime and sound like they haven't lost a step. How is that even possible.
|
| |
I’m sure there’s more but Alice In Chains and Deadguy are the first that come to mind for me

tbf to Cardiacs a lot of the instruments were recorded upwards of 20 years ago when Tim was still able to play, it was the vocals they couldn't get around to. When they got around to finishing the album they got friends and some famous fans of the band to chip in with extra flourishes and Mike to complete the vocals, but the meat of the album was largely done.

Lovely

Words cannot describe how much I'm looking forward to this. Finally some catharsis for a post-Tim Cardiacs fan.
|
| |
Recent fan. God I'm keen. I hear so much Cardiacs in so much music I've discovered through Sputnik. All of their albums sound so ahead of their time.
|
| |
This band are so annoying, they're great
