Say what you want about the album but everyone and their grandma checked out this album on release. Even most people on sputnik have listened to it. How can you discount this? This is not just Swifties, and not just bots or people leaving the album on replay overnight. Taylor swift has been around for how long? Grow the fuck up and say congratulations. You don't get to this level overnight.

I’m not surprised. Midnights is the best album released since Bon Jovi’s latest ‘2020’ (not sure when the latter was released but Midnights is certainly the best since then).

The billboard charts are pretty meaningless in the age of streaming tbh this nearly happens whenever a pop star drops an album

don't disagree in a sense but its still notable that no one else manage to land a more popular single this week than the tenth most popular new Taylor Swift track

they don't filter streams by nation so it's kind of meaningless when you can just have a fanatical stanbase in one area that boost your global streams to then affect the charts in one country.

It's really popular among audiences that follow the charts. That's especially true of pop music as it more commonly charts in the first place.

It's only ever interesting to me when an outlier makes it onto the charts.

Still, calling people's taste garbage isn't cool. I'm not into Taylor's music but I wouldn't shit on people who are.
