I've tried for almost a decade to like her music but still can't stand it. No idea what people see in it

I don’t enjoy most of her work, but the song Joga always gets me.

That and Unravel

I think her music took a dive when Mark Bell stopped working on her albums for obvious reasons.

top notch song in every way. funny how everyone else is loving it and sput is stuck in the same 5 year long circlejerk

I think we just have a community that in part doesn’t really care for Bjork’s music. Plenty of users do. Isn’t that how it goes? People talk about shit, not just what they like. I know you know how taste works. I haven’t heard this song, largely because I’m not interested, but I’ll talk about the songs of hers I have heard, and enjoyed. If the rest of the internet enjoys it, great. Is it a circlejerk if we don’t? Maybe. Maybe not. I don’t have some revelatory point, just talking.

Not bad, but Atopos and Ovule do more for me, though they all have Utopia-syndrome where a lot of songs have very little coherent structure - it's like soup, a very pretty and interesting soup but I am eating with a fork.
I like to think back on how excellent 'Family' was at developing a 3-part narrative with such distinct sections - man, Vulnicura was such a good album

it’s a circlejerk if I don’t agree with it

Good discussions here

Garbage song for preemie corner wankers

They like it enough to where you can't rate homogenic lower than 2, despite that being one of the worst albums I've ever listened to in its entirety. I'd seriously rather listen to brokencyde.
I don't and never will understand the appeal of her music. Joga is the only song I remember from her that I can stand.

kodama making us metal sympathisers look bad, there’s always someone working against the greater good smh
|
| |
lol at acting like brokencyde is somehow worse than literally anything that comprises that 17% metalcore slice on your pie chart
|
| |
when he said he'd rather listen to brokencyde he meant it unironically, he wasn't insulting bjork
