Mars Volta Debut Live Album 2026-09-10 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 2 Comments | The Mars Volta have released a live rendition of Reina Tormenta / Enlazan Las Tinieblas, taken from their forthcoming album, Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business.
Due November 20 through InsideOutMusic, the record will be the band's first official live album since 2005's Scabdates. It will be available digitally, as a special-edition CD digipak and on limited red double vinyl.
The material was recorded during The Mars Volta's fall 2025 North American tour in support of Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del VacĂ*o. Rather than merely reproducing that studio album, "Unfinished Business" captures the extended arrangements and improvisational passages through which its songs evolved onstage.
Fans also participated in assembling the album. An interactive website allowed listeners to preview recordings from different concerts and vote for the performances they wanted included, with each participating city concealed behind a cryptic visual symbol.
"Reina Tormenta / Enlazan Las Tinieblas" follows the previously released live version of Cue the Sun / Alba del Orate.

Saw them on this tour and they were fucking great. I would encourage tmv fans that didn't love Lucro to still give this a shot because it's so different from the album.

I really liked Lucro. It got a bit too sadboi in the middle but overall i thought it was cool. Very excited to hear this cause they didn't tour it in europe.
