First we got a new Limp Bizkit album, then a new Slipknot song, and now it's Korn's turn. That's a good time to be a Nu Metal fan

What a time to be alive.
| |
My article too long I guess
| |
It seems that there were already two articles in the pipeline. I didn't notice it, sorry about that guys.
| |
Sure, why not. Track isn't too bad .
| |
Nine tracks, thirty minutes run time. This could work out alright.
| |
Solid track
| |
lil jam
"Nine tracks, thirty minutes run time"
Interesting. I wonder if the short length will be an excuse to settle into a little collection of catchy "singles" or if it'll be an occasion for a couple of curveballs. Both ways could work.
| |
It's ok Rock Sins published a slightly reworded version of my article.
Seems Korn have gone independent though - released by Korn Partnership, licensed to Lorna Vista.
| |
Hopefully they’ve streamlined a few bangers and left the meandering to a minimum. Probably shouldn’t set expectations too high but here’s to hoping.
| |
This is korn? What a shitty track. Sad.
| |
Hmmm, it's decent, nothing too impressive but it's okay.
| |
OKish
| |
I really like this, especially the chours. As someone who really liked The Nothing it’s nice to see Korn still bringing the tunes this late in their career
| |
not bad. they’re lucky that bass sound of theirs differentiates this whatever song.
| |
oh this got posted twice. Ok well since this is were all the kool kids are at I'll just say again I'm indifferent about this track.
| |
This goes hard, loving the melodies here.
| |
Not much of a Korn fan generally but this was pretty good
| |
Kinda wish this album wasn't going to be so short but whatever, I'm always down for new Korn since Head returned
| |
What a time to be alive. (2)
| |
OH HELL YEAH
| |
That's some oldschool artwork.
| |
not bad but not great. korn was my first favorite band, i hope they put out another classic album before they get too old but idk about that.
| |
lame
| |
Considering the ratings on sput for the past 3 albums, seems pretty reasonable to think this album will also be good.
| |
There was some unexpected hype around this, but damn me no like
| |
Sounds like the track you only listen to if the previous and the following one are great.
It's still better than anything off The Serenity of Giving Up on Any Ambition Whatsoever.
| |
what is it with nu-metal bands turning into butt rock bands
| |
age
| |
Band peaked with the dubstep album
| |
also where tf is the slap bass?
| |
Main riff reminds me of Walk
| |
Fieldy took some time off. He isn't part of the band right now
| |
"also where tf is the slap bass?"
Fieldy isn't in any of the promotional material for the record, and he's probably still working on getting sober, which sucks cuz he's an underrated songwriter.
I like the production on this one. Sounds similar to Nick R's work on the last two albums but idk who engineered this. Either way, I'm stoked I'll be seeing them on the day this releases with System :]
| |
i still jam older korn from time to time but for me the band became unlistenable after dave silveria left.
| |
Korn used to be my favourite band and now I find them kind of embarrassing to listen to, not sure if I’m going to check this out
| |
Imagine aging worse than limp bizkit
| |
This is getting stuck in my head now
To me it gets better with repeated listens
| |
I really really wanted to like this, but even after multiple re-listens to Start the Healing I'm struggling to find anything interesting in this song at all. I hope the album is still good. On its own, the song is pretty boring.
| |
Expected to really dislike this strongly but surprisingly it's a decent song imo. The only Korn I really revisit is the debut and it holds up really well for me. Life is Peachy is probably my second favorite and I still go back to a few songs on it also
| |
Song seems to be provoking a range of reactions. Some people wanting to like it but not liking it, others saying they normally don't like Korn but actually like this song. Even MetalSucks said they think the song is decent (which is high praise from a site which refuses to accept any nu metal except for Sevendust and Maximum the Hormone).
| |
"Imagine aging worse than limp bizkit" x 1000
Band is a joke since Untouchables.
| |
band slaps tho
| |
combustion07, maybe it's time to check out Issues again
| |
The first 5 albums are great in my opinion and have different vibes.
debut>lip=issues>ftl>untouchables
| |
I can agree with that equation
| |
@deathofasalesman Chris Collier produced this album. He did the sound mixing for the Monumental livestream. The mastering was done by the same guy who did JD's Black Labyrinth album
| |
The Paradigm Shift and Serenity of Suffering are great too imo, this track is decent I guess
| |
This is pretty good, excited for the new album
| |
Thanks @jouroboros. The production sounds super clean, and for new Korn that's a good thing
| |
They need to get with the times and bring back the brostep
| |
SHUT THE F UP GET UP!!! *skrillex noises*
| |
Man that song is vintage Korn
| |
didnt really like them
