Rutan is a monster, these riffs are nasty.
Album is gonna slay, every track has been ruthless m/

Could they have picked a more boring song on guitar to make a playthrough for??
|
| |
Great guitarist and great producer. Haven't seen a BC Rich in a long ass time either
|
| |
New album will undoubtedly be their best since Torture m/
That solo towards the end was so tasty Erik could sell it as a dessert

Cannibal Corpse release new forearm workout

this is still one of the greatest playthroughs ever

Fretwork

"Could they have picked a more boring song on guitar to make a playthrough for??"
I don't know. It's a pretty impressive display of power chord riffage. Lightning quick
|
| |
yeah i thought it was cool
|
| |
Dude is a fucking beast
|
| |
Erik is the right man for the job
|
| |
Yeah... this sounds sick, you can feel the passion is still there.
|
| |
Yeh I like Rutan's solos for this band, feels like a little extra musicality added
|

Rutan is a monster, these riffs are nasty. (2)
If you can say that you jammed in both Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse, that pretty much makes you a professor of death metal riffing.
|
| |
song is sick, this album is gonna be sick

forearm workout [2]
|

Yeah that’s fair, I could never play power chords that quick. It’s impressive in a way, but I watched for 2-3 minutes and it just felt really repetitive is all. Apparently I missed a solo
|
| |
Guitar tone is so THICC.
|
| |
All three new songs have awesome riffage. I'm really looking forward to this new album.
Also, what are the chances that there's a trade-off solo with Rob? Erik's solo was great but it felt a bit short.
|
| |
How can riffs be so brutal yet so catchy? It's a CC trademark m/
|
| |
I still don't get how they can tune a 6 string in G# or whatever and still get a tone that tight. I'll drop my shit down to D and it already gets muddy lol
|
| |
lol that power chord riff is fuckin' filthy. album is tracking to be a monster m/
|
| |
Fantastic stuff.
|
| |
I keep saying it: these guys just get better with age
|
| |
@bloc I use a baritone six-string and it can handle G# pretty easily, I think there was a video where Pat O'Brien was modifying his guitar to handle tuning.
|
| |
"this is still one of the greatest playthroughs ever"
I just fucking knew it was gonna be frantic disembowelment haha
|
| |
riffs for days
|
| |
"I think there was a video where Pat O'Brien was modifying his guitar to handle tuning."
I know what you mean, there's a studio vid where he's literally using a dremel tool on his bridge to push back the string saddle so the string gets longer. I dig the mad scientist vibes for sure.
|
| |
Oh hell yeah that's sick. Stoked as hell for this album
|
| |
besides just scale length i think it's their tone which is super saturated but has a lot of the gain coming from an input pedal and is pretty chunky. despite how much guitarists joke about metal zones they do give a lot of the clarity that CC's tone has/had (i know erik uses maxons so idk about Rob)
|
| |
CC have some of the best guitar tone/setups out there, crushing yet extremely clear.
|
| |
Maxon in front of anything works every time
|
| |
'I just fucking knew it was gonna be frantic disembowelment haha'. Looool. I went back to that so so many times.
Very impressed by this one too and very surprised, I almost didn't click it, not sure why my expectations were not too high
