Mogwai release new single

2021-01-12 by Eldar777 | 22 Comments
Scottish post-rock legends Mogwai have released a new single 'Ritchie Sacramento' off their 10th record As The Love Continues.

Mogwai describe this song as “the only conventional pop song on the record”. The track features vocals sung by the frontman and guitarist Stuart Braithwaite and is dedicated to the late Dave Berman of Silver Jews and all the band's musician friends who have passed away over the years.

Check out 'Ritchie Sacramento':

As The Love Continues will be released February 19.

Not heard these guys since I purchased and subsequently threw The Eagle Isn’t Howling out the metaphorical window.

Is there any chance of salvation?

I thought they were overrated for years and years, then suddenly one disc clicked and I recognise the grandeur

Oh they have some great albums, that’s not what I was saying - they just lost me with that one and I haven’t heard anything they’ve released since.

90% of this band's stuff just does nothing for me, but I'll always love their first 2 albums.

I know I’m old but when did they start singing? Either way, this > Radiohead’s entire discography.

Some really weird takes in here, then again maybe Mogwai are just a really different band now?

this is really nice tbh, they pull off the vocals and the pop so effortlessly, it really works!

surely the most radio-friendly pop song they've done, in the best way possible. looking forward to the album, everything since hardcore will never die has been a bit of a let-down for me.
