Those fake strings at the start are absolutely horrid but thankfully the rest of the song is solid. Hunter's vocals aren't nearly as loud or ear piercing as they were on Aesthethica and the dynamics from The Ark Work are still there. Cautiously optimistic for whatever they do next.

This is definitely the least annoying track they've put out.

Well, this is really, really good. Seems like they're way more comfortable in their sound now. Will be picking this one up.

I know they get a lot of shit, but Aesthethica has some genuinely amazing moments. This new track is exactly what I want them to make. Stoked for this album. Yes, So Hideous are similar and their last album was incredible.. but the musicianship of Liturgy is a notch higher.. especially the drumming.

So Hideous is a very different band IMO. This song has a lot of emphasis on the string section, at least in the beginning, so I get where the comparison comes from. If you go listen to a track like Quetzalcoatl though you'll get what I mean.
