Did Mia come back to play violin for Toby?

No. The playing only sounds a bit similar because it's a Driver composition, but the musicians playing the strings are Conrad Harris and Pauline Kim Harris. It's in the article.

Agreed with the last few comments.

I might prefer the Live from Roulette version from last year, it sounds more cinematic and spacious to me.

Blood Music is cool. I remember reading here when they first started up and then did pressings of maudlin of the Well material. Nice guys.

I know we see a lot of Toby here and on Pitchfork and the likes, but he's criminally unknown for the most part and I think he's going to get a bigger following years from now.

I loved this song on Live From Roulette and I'm so happy to hear he's releasing a new album. Toby Driver is one of the best damn artists of the 21st century

Yea it's clear this is going to be yet another new thing and more ambitious than Madonnawhore, which was great for the style and mood it was going for.

Bits of this wouldn't sound out of place in a Studio Ghibli Film. Really like it, definitely better than anything off of Madonnawhore.
