More New The Smith Street Band

Australian punk band, The Smith Street Band have finally revealed the full details surrounding the release of their new LP. The album is titled More Scared of You Than You Are of Me, and will be available on April 7.

The band have also released a new song to commemorate the occasion called "Birthdays".

This album will be the first that The Smith Street Band release independently following their departure from Poison City Records and the establishment of their own record label, Pool House Records.

on the surface they definitely give off the frank turner vibe, I had the same thought. Smith Street definitely have a louder sound though.

Ehh I don't really see the Frank Turner comparison. I mean, I guess I do a little but it's very surface level, as mentioned above. I love Frank but Wil's songwriting just hits me on a whole other level. I'd recommend you give Throw me in the River another chance Satellite because I know you like awesome music.

Anyway, new Menzingers already and soon new Smith Street. I'm a happy guy.

Yeah I reckon Wil's songwriting is stronger overall and SSB are just more consistent. Throw me in the river is definitely their most popular but I'd argue their debut is slightly stronger.

my mom ordered me a copy of throw me in the river for christmas that year it came out and accidentally ordered it from poison city instead of side1dummy so i have this fucking rad smoke splatter they sold there
