Jacob Bannon debuts solo project single

2017-01-12 by pjorn | 47 Comments
Wear Your Wounds - Converge Vocalist Jacob Bannon's solo project - is streaming a song off the debut album that is set to be released on April 4th. The song is a departure from the sound typically associated with Converge and is more reminiscent of Bannon's previous, more ambient solo effort Supermachiner.

Huh.

Never heard Supermachiner, so I'm not sure what I expected.

I'll have to check this out again when the mood is right.

That was pretty relaxing as background noise but 9 minutes is way too long.

Yea that needs to be halved at least, there's not enough going on to justify that kind of length.

Also enjoyed, but yeah it takes way too long to add anything. The last two minutes were cool but it was a little bit of a chore to get through those first 4

I dunno, didn't seem so bad. Second half was cool.

If this is just a middle section between some songs its okay, I just don't hope the entire album is like this.

Agreed with most in here, doesn't need to be 9 minutes, probably could've easily been cut down to six. I'm still really excited to hear this in the context of the album tho

Meh, I liked Irons more.

Plus, this is like solo project number 4. He has Supermachiner, two tracks as J Bannon, Nails (though that's with one of the dudes from Integrity) and now this.

This is pretty good, very relaxing. That organ and distorted riff towards the end is beautiful.

Ya'll just pissed it's not Converge.
