Flower Face single + Donation 2016-12-24 by Scuro EMERITUS | 13 Comments | Ruby McKinnon of Flower Face has released a new single on Bandcamp, with a minimum donation of $1. The proceeds will be going to the Childhood Cancer Foundation as of March the 10th 2017. Ruby herself has been battling ovarian cancer, and this single was written during her time in chemotherapy;
"last summer, i was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. i spent the second half of 2015 in and out of the hospital for surgery and week-long chemotherapy treatments. through the haze that chemo created in my brain, i was barely able to leave my bed, let alone write a song. but i wrote this one. this song is the one piece of writing that i was able to create throughout this experience, and to this day i am proud of it. it was written long ago but i recorded and produced it this week with my friend joshua kaiser."
