Into Eternity gets record deal

2015-06-16 by XfingTheSullen | 13 Comments
After their lukewarmly received effort "The Incurable Tragedy" from 2008, Canadian prog/melodeath mainstays Into Eternity finally find a new label with Italy-based Kolony Records.

The band's first album since 2008 will be named "Sirens" and is set for an autumn 2015 release via the label.

As if their getting signed should be news at all given how great their old stuff was? Glad their new record is FINALLY going to see the light of day, though, after all the (zero) progress they seemed to be making in the last few years. I want to hear what their female vocalist sounds like.

Last album was awful, but Buried in Oblivion and The Scattering of Ashes still rule so I'll probably give the new one a chance.

Is Stu still their vocalist?

Apparently they have a female vocalist now...? I knew Stu wasn't in the band anymore, but didn't know a female took his place.

Wonder how that will pan out....

Buried in Oblivion is still one of my fav metal albums ever, can't help it. And yeah The Scattering of Ashes slays too. m/

lol finally

I still listen to them occasionally, there are only two songs from incurable tragedy that are even decent that I'll listen to. buried in oblivion is a classic imo, we'll see how this new album is though

I liked sandstorm and fukushima, they were both kinda funny too

I hated Stu's awful vox on those two songs.

but the candles were lit for the dead

I like how fukushima had two solos in it for some reason as well

They had some sweet stuff long ago. I'll check.

I'm personally quite stoked too. The new material sounds like it'll have many riffs similar to stuff from dead or dreaming and buried in oblivion.
