Hessian are all about the old fashioned heavy metal endorsed by bands such as Christian Mistress, Slough Feg, Hellion and the like. If anything, the album is solid, whereas its twists lie in prog rock (in a broad sense) and elements from vintage/boogie/occult rock.

Indeed the album has a lot to give in terms of old fashioned hard rocking metal. And to think that I've took the time to listen to it, because of the old fashioned album cover alone...

Listening at the moment, it's very promising so far.
