Empyrium Detail New Album

2014-05-27 by Kyle Ward EMERITUS | 23 Comments
German neofolk/symphonic black metal band Empyrium have released the details of their upcoming LP The Turn of the Tides, which will be the first full-length from the band since their 2002 album Weiland. The album will feature two tracks that have already been released: "The Days Before The Fall" from the 2010 neofolk compilation Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings and "Dead Winter Ways" from their 2013 EP of the same name. There will also be an additional 5 tracks that help complete the band's concept of "addressing cycles, both within nature - the tides of the sea, the change of seasons, the eternal circulation of water - as well as human life, and insinuates how everything rediscovers itself in everything."

The full track list is as follows:

1. Saviour
2. Dead Winter Ways
3. In The Gutter Of This Spring
4. The Days Before The Fall
5. We Are Alone
6. With The Current Into Grey
7. The Turn Of The Tides

The Turn of the Tides is slated to be released on July 18 in Europe and July 22 in North America via Prophecy Productions. The album will be available in a standard digipack as well as a hardcover book limited to 777 copies.

You can hear the track "Dead Winter Ways" below:

Gonna refrain from hearing any samples. I have a feeling this will be one album that will totally wow me this year, so I will wait until I get the whole thing, so I could experience the awesomeness in full.
