Phil Anselmo album details

2013-04-22 by FirstLucidDream | 23 Comments
Ex-Pantera singer Phil Anselmo reveals album cover and release date of his upcoming solo record, 'Walk Through Exits Only'. The album will drop on July 16 via his own Housecore Records.

"It wasn't about doing a paint-by-numbers thrash or heavy metal record," Anselmo said about his first ever solo record. "It's an angry album that only I could do. I don't see anybody else out there screaming about the same shit I'm screaming about. On this album, there isn't any wordplay, there isn't any hidden message, it's all right there in front of you."

Phil Anselmo & The Illegals will support the new record with a major North American tour this summer.

Yeah that sounds really pretentious. Unless he means it's super personal and only he could make this because of his experiences but even then yeah, kinda being douche-like Phil. Whatever the case, Phil's vocals are killer. Big part of my love for Pantera was the vocals so I'll have to check out what he's pissed about this time.

Phil's a pretentious douche. Not too long ago he was guilt-tripping Vinnie Paul via interview jabs into reuniting
Pantera with Zakk Wylde on guitar and saying that he's "not respecting what the fans want"... like STFU dude, it was your
money-grabbing druggie-fueled bullshit that broke Pantera up in the first place
