lol i posted a same news article with almost an exact same description about 3 days ago...i dont get how this works sometimes haha

I was like "WTF NEW LETLIVE OMG THEY NEVER TOLD ME"
and after waiting on Sputnik's slow page load ,
I was like "oh . rerelease . underwhelming ."
| |
3 new songs
| |
he uses a lot of big words
| |
verbose asshole
| |
2 of the "new" songs are from the same time as Fake History, so they sound the same (im assuming its the first two) and the last song is actually a new one...i think they're okay but i can see why the two old ones weren't on Fake History
he is really verbose hahah but hes so quirky and spastic live that it's okay with me. Besides being verbose isn't really a bad thing..it just hurts my head
| |
Letlive got old really fast.
| |
homeless jazz is great fun and the closing track day 65 is epic
| |
Don't really see why Lemon Party's getting so much love compared to the other two 'new' tracks. All three are very good imo.
Muther an Day 54 are still the best on the album though.
| |
cool i still havent listened to these guys, will have to check this out
| |
Lemon party is amazing
| |
fuuuuuhuuuck yess
| |
This album is killer. I love Lemon Party and Hollywood, but This Mime is a little lackluster compared to the rest of the album
| |
Lemon Party is an old-ass song from one of their EPs I think
| |
Lemon Party fucking rules.
Also I don't understand why its a bad thing that the singer is articulate
| |
doubly posty
| |
New songs are coooool.
| |
He's pretentious, but if you heard him in interviews he totally has a douchey Jersey/Brooklyn accent. Kinda funny
| |
you're right. saying big words with an accent is way douchey.
| |
Unnecessary?
| |
Lemon Party is basically like having sex at the beach. That is all.
| |
seeing them live was one of the best times of my life, lead singer is unbelievable
| |
i really like the new songs, but man the singer can come off as a pretentious douche sometimes
| |
its more so the fact that most people simply don't speak with that superfluous a vocabulary in regular conversation. I have no problem with using big words to articulate a thought that would otherwise not make as much sense using simpler words. thats not really the case in a lot of these explanations though.

'We condemn those that manage to transcend our affectionate party full of esoteric misfits and brand them with that all too passé term "sell-out".'
read: our "underground" society doesnt like mainstream bands
| |
im still gonna end up buying this. these guys pretty much deserve my money.
| |
*is pumped*
| |
Haven't listened to the new songs yet, but the singer seems pretty awesome by his liner note thing.
| |
so is this re-release remixed or anything? is there any difference?
| |
yea they're re mastered and shit and 3 un released songs
| |
“Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words? He thinks I don't know the ten-dollar words. I know them all right. But there are older and simpler and better words, and those are the ones I use.”

| |
^^ awesome
| |
I love letlive but reading that article sounded like a 10th grader cobbling together an essay while using a thesaurus WAY too much.
| |
"you're right. saying big words with an accent is way douchey."
Yeah that's probably what I meant just like you probably don't have an IQ over 45
| |
haha whoa u mad bra?
| |
My madness levels are off the charts
| |
I'm imagining you actually are Ren on an omnipresent rampage
| |
I don't understand why someone would ever feel the need to write in such a verbose and pretentious manner.
| |
I better go and find out what verbose means..
| |
this guy writes like his critiques on society and people in general actually matter. they should have given someone else the pen for this write-up
