Don't let the Confide tag throw you off; he was their first drummer and separated from the band just after they started getting big. I've played with him many times and he's a ridiculously talented guy. Whether it comes to metal, rock, jazz or anything in between, his drumming is off the charts. Just my two cents : )

If you got a bad impression back in the day that sucks, but he's a great, humble, generous guy and has been for years. @ JAXETA you've found yourself in a tough spot because this site can be relentlessly cliquish and while i wont say elitist in attitude, the prevailing tastes cater more towards more extreme styles of metal such as black metal, death metal and sludge (and primarily more abrasive variants of each). Just remember that responding to someone trying to troll you is never worth the time if you can't troll them back.

@kingjulian i used to run into the people from confide all the time back around 2005-2006 and they never left me with a good impression of them as musicians or as people. if he's not like he and the rest of his band were back in the day then more power too him but that isn't gonna change how i remember the people in that band.

I really liked the drumming on the first Confide cd. That's really random to go from that to A7X, but whatev, more power to him I suppose.

He's been a few bands in between, but they were all local.

band needs to jst get a drum machine. all their new drummers are too good at their instrument to fit in, and the band's ego is too high to get a drummer that matches to band's actual talent

Anyways, I watched some live videos with the new drummer and he seemed pretty spot on. It'll be interesting to see if they stick with him after the tour.
