Guarantee this EP will be John Lennon, Jesus Glue, NBF, Star Above My Bed, and post-hardcore-style songs. Beck had been saying that the above tracks didn't fit in with the sound/style of their new record, so keep fingers crossed.

Nah, most of their new record is done already, according to Beck. The only thing it was waiting on was Daryl's vox. They've been playing the aforementioned tunes (Lennon, Glue, NBF, SAMB) live since 2003 at the earliest (almost 15 years if you count Star) and commented that they sounded little like the rest of the new record (purportedly a heavy Latin/groove influence), possibly why they're likely putting harder, "traditional Glassjaw" stuff on this EP. And if I'm not mistaken, if this happens to be released under Warner it would free them from their contract, which could be part of the reason. Who knows, all speculation but it's interesting and I'm psyched.
