their band name sounds like a sex position
|

^^You're thinking of Arching Monkeys
Josh Homme? Niiiice
I'll listen to this
|
| |
their band name sounds like a sex position
sorry how?
|
| |
im excited for this now.
|
| |
i wonder if it will have that "Dessert Sessions" sound to the production. that'd be interesting
|
| |
Hopefully this will be better than the last one and more like "Whatever people say I am..."
|
| |
Yes! really looking foward to this, especially with Josh Homme. I wonder if it will be fun like the first album or dark and moody like the 2nd? I'm guessing it might be heavier (by arctic monkeys standard) but still retain the moody atmosphere of the 2nd album, who knows though, I could be completely wrong.

| |
weird titles for them, they seem like mystical and shit
given how phenomenal their first album is and the fact they live about 5 miles away from me it's a nightmare i still haven't heard Nightmare in its entirety, i should get on that. this will likely rule.
|
| |
"weird titles for them, they seem like mystical and shit"
Well this IS supposed to be their 'psychadelic' album
|
| |
i havent read anything about it but arctic monkeys plus psychadelic sounds like it will equal ridiculous, whether that's ridiculously bad or good i can't say
|
| |
Hopefully it doesn't take the fun out of the band.
what i'd like to see is some more Last Shadow Puppets
|
| |
I love me some arctic monkeys!
|
| |
LSP bored me to tears, i recognise its brilliance but it was just far too taxing a listen for me
|
| |
How were they so quiet about this? damn, gonna be awesome
|
| |
FTW!!!! I have been waiting for this forever. Although August is too long of a wait.
|
| |
"what i'd like to see is some more Last Shadow Puppets"
That album seemed way too rushed, it was ok but the songs were too short at stopped once you started getting into them. If just a few more months work was put in, it would of been brilliant.
|
| |
I'm excited. Excellent band.
|
| |
I hope it's not more Favourite Worst Nightmare stuff. That got boring so quickly compared to how amazing the debut was.
|
| |
Pretty Visitors wins
|
| |
Didn't the band break up for a minute?
|
| |
I think they just took a break or something. they all seemed to have their own thing goin on for a bit
|
| |
Josh Homme producing? Awesome.
|
| |
Josh Homme will make this ten times more awesome than it already is
|
| |
Oh yeah! My most favoritist band ever!! Super stoked for this.
|
| |
circa4life's favoritist band ever is arctic monkeys? i would have guessed circa survive judging by your name
|
| |
Heh, no the Circa is for the skate company, I have just had the same username for everything for many years so I figured why change it now. If my damn picture would show under my name it would be Alex Turner but it wont show.

3 albums in 3 years is respectable
|
| |
Not really into this band but they certinally seem to be churning out new albums pretty quickly
not as fast as many of the British alt rock bands that are only half as good.
|
| |
"Not really into this band but they certinally seem to be churning out new albums pretty quickly"
The best bit is that they are (in my opinion) classic albums, no filler.
|
| |
Hopefully this will be better than the last one and more like "Whatever people say I am..."
Favourite Worst Nightmare was better than Whatever People Say I Am...

Favourite Worst Nightmare was better than Whatever People Say I Am...
Both of the albums are pretty different from each other. Whatever People Say I Am was my first album of theirs I heard, so it
has a certain nostalgic feel to it every time I go back to listen to it (besides its just flat out amazing.) Then I got their EP's
which were pretty similar to their debut. Favourite Worst Nightmare was excellent but I don't consider it a classic. It almost
seemed like it had an eerie feel to it on some of the songs.
Well this IS supposed to be their 'psychadelic' album
is it really? Thats damn good news. Where did you hear about that?
|
| |
so excited for this, My hopes are high

That's what I really liked about it I think. It just hit me as a much better album as a whole. I loved the first LP but I think there was a bit of filler. When they got it right on that album though, it was awesome!
This new album will hopefully be their best thanks to Josh Homme. I'm hoping for a stoner vibe off it

as classic as 21st century breakdown?
|
| |
not expecting it to be as good as their first but still pretty ecxited for this
|
| |

are Arctic Monkeys even stoners?
Strikey, give it a rest.
|
| |
I thought that actually, but then thought that bands like Kyuss and QOTSA were both big on the drugs.
