Its looking like Omar got all his extraneous bullshit ideas out of his system on his solo crap, keeping the A material for when it really matters.

Bedlam was awesome, and I had some hope for this album, but so far thats been shot by these 2 songs. Cotopaxi was good but most likely not the whole version. I'm disappointed.

i dont know, every song they write just sounds too familiar now. it's awesome stuff, but w/e, i'll probably love it for a week than not listen again until the end of year polls.

We have about 5 weeks to go before this album comes out.

I'll still post news when more of the songs get uploaded but i'm going to step back from listening to the songs since I want to be 'wow'd' when I sit back and listen to the whole thing in its entirety upon release to experience that first time effect.

I listened to Frances this morning and his voice (in Miranda especially) blew me away, but that was kind of average.

The melodies are far too obvious especially compared to prior releases. Listen to Tetra for example, Cedric's melodies are
incredibly moving. After 3 listens, these two tracks are very 'underwhelming' vocally.
EDIT: Instruments are great, Omar's still got it. And the bits of brass after the second chorus, during the bridge and 3rd chorus
are great, but they should be louder in the mix.... granted it is pre-release. Need more epic.

Personally, i think if yall listen to the music without bias towards the guy on this site thats pissing you off, you would find that alot of Oceansize's and TMV's material can be similar. they are both great progressive bands, TMV with one foot in classic rock and Oceansize with one in postrock.

I have been a supporter of TMV since my buddy introduced me to them when Frances The Mute dropped. They have definitely earned the spot of my favorite band. I couldn't think of a band that can cover such chaotic yet melodic points that just fit me so well. However with just about every other song I've heard from them it takes 2 or 3 listens until i adjust to the sound and really get to enjoy the music. I dig all of he leaked tracks so far and have to admit i really do like what i hear. Can't wait for it to actually drop so i can enjoy it all at together.
