The Devil Wears Prada is now cool in my books for making a reference to the Office.
Edit: Whoa, what's going on? I am actually really enjoying this.
Another Edit: Okay, it's not that great. It's still exceeding my incredibly low expectations.

Ever since they covered Stilly Fly, I started to enjoy these guys a bit more. Dez Moines was cool, so i'll check this out.
|
| |
^to Waior, totally agreed, except I wanted to read the lyrics to see if it wasn't just the song title that was referring to the office, but i couldnt find em =(. anyways pretty good song.
|
| |
I kinda like the old stuff a little better. This seems more - progressive to me. I don't feel the old assault they used to bring with vocals.
Still good though. It's fun live too.

Album title is win.
Song is a huge improvement. I think I may actually like their new album.
|
| |
I'm fucking stoked, album will be win
|
| |
Even with a reference to the office, they're still poor and so is the song.
|
| |
That was surprisingly good.
|
| |
vocals do seem a little toned down, but i'll take that considering the music is quite enjoyable and doesn't drag nearly as much as their old stuff
|
| |
It's metalcore. The play the same stuff that's been played for years now, only with some keyboard lines.
Generic-ness side, the song was better than I thought it was going to be
|
| |
this is surprisingly good. i only liked two songs off plauges so i wasn't expecting much from this.
|
| |
^ Absolutely.
This is a mild progression for them, and really makes me thing that their next album will be worth buying, given they take a couple more leaps and bounds.
Musicinabox: Haha, for sure, but the goofy song titles never have anything to do with the songs. Another staple of metalcore, except TDWP over-titles sometimes.
|
| |
Two new songs sound pretty damn good.
|
| |
thats true, but at least the title had some humor instead of just putting down some random shit.
how does this stuff compare to their previous work, never actually listened to this band.
|
| |
they are getting better.
breakdown about halfway through was at least meaningful and did something to enhance the atmosphere of the song.
vocals are definitely improving.
impressive song, except for the pointless breakdown at the end.
|
| |
You could YouTube some of their earlier stuff, it's very mediocre.
|
| |
damn, what a surprise.
i might even consider buying their next album.
|
| |
lol @ people liking this just because they've evolved from "fucking garbage" to "unremarkable"
|
| |
It's a step in the right direction, of course!
|
| |
I think they evolved from "unremarkable" to "kinda good".
|
| |
Hopefully this album will turn out to be "kinda good" then.
|
| |
"impressive song, except for the pointless breakdown at the end."
its gonna split the venue in half though, brah
they played this song when i saw them a couple days ago, and even though the crowd hadn't heard it before, they were movin'. This Message Edited On 04.11.09

whooaa this sounds better! Glad to see them change, they needed it, their last two albums sounded way too simular.
|
| |
The thing with breakdowns, is no matter how generic they are on CD, they're fucking epic live.
|
| |
Firstly: Song name = Hot.
TDWP is really improving with these new songs imo. This new album might be good.
|
| |

Really, some of the worst breakdowns can have you moshing live. Of course it's mainly about how good the music is, but if it's not fun to listen to then why listen to it?
|
| |
The fact that this is being responded to so positively is just a testament to how terrible DWP has been in the past, lol.
Song is still pretty bad.
|
| |
never really cared for this band. generic metalcore
|
| |
Never thought I'd like these guys but they've slowly started to grow on me..
|
| |
songs are better than their old shit, but nothing special at all.
|
| |
the breakdown at the end of the first song is stuck in my head
|
| |
Wow pretty rad.
|
| |
It's not bad, an improvement from the old stuff in terms of vocals but still similar enough so that fans will love it. I still think it's a bit generic but fun anyways.
