vocals are different but song is obviously amazing
bass rules and the tapping is so good eddie van halen should kill himself just to roll over in his grave

Don't you roll over in your grave if something of yours is done badly?
Song is awesome.

In some cases, yes. But when something is this well executed, you roll over in your grave just because I said so.

Sickkkk

so weird, so im looking for news on the new album this morning at like 4am, reading french blogs and stuff, didn't find much other than the new album would come with a live dvd. then i get home from school and it has a title and a new song is up.
|
| |
I'm so used to listening to the video demonstration of the new song that the vocals sound a bit intrusive. I'm not sure the vocals are different as much as the volume and recording quality has increased. Just my opinion.
|
| |
Nah, the vocals are different. They're really aggressively multi-tracked, there's at least two tracks, probably more.
|
| |
That makes sense. I was basing my comment on live footage. I still think his style hasn't changed.
|
| |
definitely multiple vocal tracks, but sounds amazing overall. Should be one of the better metal releases of the year, at least if this quality persists through the whole record
oh and on a side note the new drummer fits really well with the band, great addition
|
| |
Nah, his vocal style hasn't changed, you're right. It's just the way it's mixed, they're more prominent. But it goes with the territory. On Neurotripsicks they had to be buried because they entered at random and they had no real lines to follow, so as they get more structured and logical in their approach it makes sense to highlight them. Just think it sounds a little over-the-top, but it isn't like he sounds like Nergal now or anything. This Message Edited On 03.26.09

I like the album title, but the song title suprised me. I remember watching an interview where the band stated that they weren't satanically influenced, but I suppose that's not the same as being athiest or whatever is implied by their songtitles and lyrics.
|
| |
btw can you tell I've been anxiously awaiting this release for about a year? lawl
|
| |
good song, but all these disavow god, dethrone god, etc. titles are getting repetitive and annoying.
|
| |
I think it's funny that on their myspace you have Gorod playing and then you look across at their profile pic and there's The Edge there, smiling dumbly.
|
| |
"tapping is so good eddie van halen should kill himself just to roll over in his grave"
this

I flipped when I saw the bulletin. Song rules, and I like how the vocals are mixed now. Makes them stronger I think.

The song title just means "don't accept" or "don't put the onus on", it's not necessarily satanic or even atheistic, you'd have to know the context first. And, I mean, you're forgetting this is a band who once wrote "Brutal Shows/Crushing Pogos/Violence is Real/Death through Holocaust".

| |
Infuckingsanely nasty. I cannot wait for this.
|
| |
drummer is good
|
| |
Wow, sick song.. Gotta check this band out.
|
| |
The vocals sound like a rough mix, I would imagine they will get smoothed out by the time the cd is mastered
|
| |
absolutely amazing! new album should be a mindfuck of a listen
|
| |
This is a pretty good track though the vocals are a little hollow out this time through. I still enjoy it...the tracking is just somewhat odd. Still one of my favorite bands in the tech death field and in general.
Anyone else kind of slightly ...not disappointed but surprised by the drumming? The videos I had seen seemed to have more dynamic to them...I guess the actual recording had a bit of sound replacement or extreme trigger usage (% wise vs acoustic %.) Just doesn't sound as fast or as...raw. Maybe it's the fact you can't really hear the ride...Still a great track though. This Message Edited On 03.26.09

The videos as in the one video with maybe 15 seconds of drumming from this song in it, the one that wasn't particularly fast anyways?
|
| |
Ah yeah it was a montage of sorts wasn't it...Right on. I guess the drums just feel very...hollow. Not a triggered sound I enjoy, but it works decently well with the sound. Still enjoying none the less, just kind of hard to not critique drum sounds all the time when you play them I guess. Ideally, you have a true acoustic kit, but that's pretty rare these days.

I ripped it off the MySpace and it sounds better when it isn't sooooooo compressed. You can get the higher quality version if you just go through the page source.
|
| |
why are these guys so fucking good
|
| |
Definitely my favorite tech death band. Can't wait for the new album.
|
| |
band is incredible. song is unreal.
|
| |
Amazing stuff. It's great that tech-death can be made so easy to listen to.
|
| |
Process of a New Decline, sounds awesome
|

fap fap fap fap fap fap
|

Song was rather bitchin'
|
| |
I keep forgetting about Gorod even though their stuff is nothing short of mind blowing. Can't wait for this and the new Lykathe album. jk, we all know that's never coming out ;)
|
| |
Okay, just listened to the song and it's really good as expected. The vocals are going to take a little getting used to, but the instrumentation is still jaw dropping
|
| |
Holy shit. Leading Visions was pretty damn good, but that exceeded my expectations. The tapping part at 1:40 is so awesome. I like how both guitars actually interact during the solo too. This Message Edited On 03.27.09

Never heard of these guys, but fuck, this is the shit. The solo is so great.
|

the band's junior album
Junior album? What?
Song was good but I'm getting a little tired of tech/death metal.
|
| |
It's their third album, aka their junior album

Sorry, not familiar with that term . Thanks for the clarification.

Pretty great song, and the mixing on this is pretty great. I'm loving how crisp the guitar tone is.
