Hmm, yeah that's curious news, though they always seem to shroud their posts with mystery and shit. That'd be pretty slick if they were writing new material, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

better come to iowa!
|

Tool needs to put out something a lot better than that 10,000 Days to get me to pay out the a** for some lame arena concert...
|
| |
No one wanted you there anyway.
|
| |
YES!
|
| |
The don't call him Burn for no reason.
|
| |
haha nice
|
| |
hmm.
I would like to see them live, but I'd prefer a new album.
|
| |
I will probably try and see this. The first (and only) time I saw them, Maynard had a throat issue and wasn't at full strength. I still thought they sounded great but I'd like to see em at 100%.
|
| |
This is interesting, and although it will probably be a US tour, I'm keeping my hopes up for a few UK dates
|
| |
Same here. Some UK dates would be sick.
|
| |
Saw them in Cardiff last time they played the UK and was blown away!
Hoping for some UK dates this time round too, although they prob won't visit Cardiff again

I'd go to see them just for the experience. 10,000 days wasn't worth the money I SPENT for it.
|
| |
I'd love to see them live, so here's hoping for some UK dates. My instinct tells me that it'd probably be the best gig I'd ever go to, judging by a few videos on youtube.

Guys I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet. There is a good chance that this is an early April fools joke, almost every year they do something similar. They also put a massive amount of work into their stage / light show and I cannot see them doing all that without a new album to support. I really hope I'm wrong but something tells me this is a big hoax.

Burn2Burn - Probably not, but that's okay. I don't dislike Tool, don't get me wrong. They just really ought to put out something new before launching another big tour. On a side note, last time I saw Tool there was this retarded Maynard-worshipper next to me who through the entire show constantly screamed "MAAAAYYYNAAAAAARRRDD!!!!" at the top of his lungs. It was a really long set, too (being Tool and all.) ... Maybe it isn't the idea of seeing Tool live again that bothers me, just the idea of spending an evening with their crazed fans. In the Midwest US, I can guarantee you the majority of people who show up will be teenage stoners who have only ever heard Vicarious.

Great live band. I hope they play festivals this summer.

|

this is quite relevant to my interests as well.
i saw them on their last tour in St. Louis, it was incredible.
something tells me we wont see a new album though. i could be wrong. lets hope i am
|

jra - I think they're still boycotting Saint Louis after the fans tried to boo Tricky (a good friend of Maynards from what I understand) off stage. Maynard was pretty pissed. He did a lot of the show with his back turned from the audience. I mean, he does stuff like that all the time anyway, but I wasn't surprised when the next tour did not include Saint Louis...

Ha didn't even think of that. I'm skeptical now. I actually fell for the Jesus one. I mean it looked really official. Even the head guy of rolling stones tried to contact Maynard. I don't see how any of us could have fell for it when it landed on the first of April though lol.

|
| |
Wow, I hope this comes to be real.

|

once i sat outside on Canada Day for 10 hours when it was a brutal 6 degrees Celsius (on july 1st!) to hear Tool play a 6 song set at Edgefest. how pissed was i? 6 songs? after waiting outside in a sweatshirt for 10 hours?
it was the first and last edgefest i ever went toThis Message Edited On 03.26.09

yes Trickster, we all know you hate Tool. You don't have to spam every Tool list, news, and reveiws.
|
| |
Tool is playin with 3oh!3 in colorado.
Does anyone else think that's a super awkward....concert...?
|
| |
I hope they come to South Florida or at least somewhere near there. I don't mind 10,000 Days and I only seen them once so it'll be worth it.
|
| |
they have already stated like, last year, that they are writing new material..so maybe their new album isnt that far off?
|
| |
Greatest live band I've ever had the privilage of seeing.
|

At last!
me+shrooms+tool= Paradice

Tool have the most stupid fans on earth. Still, they should release some new music, I'm beginning to wonder how they possibly could surprise us next.
|

10,000 days is amazing you idiots

Seriously they are something else. As a drummer, hearing Carey rip through that solo in Forty Six & 2 was a great moment.

For everyone thinking that is an april fools joke...they are headlining at the All Points West Festival and at the Mile High Music Festival!
