Protest the hero headline tour

2009-03-02 by acetasoad | 47 Comments
One of underground metal’s favorite bands, Protest
The Hero are ecstatic to announce
their very first headlining tour of the US.

Riding the acclaim of their sophomore record,
'Fortress' (Vagrant 01/08 ), Protest The Hero has
done nothing short of rousing a variety
of audiences with their live show as well.
Come April, Protest the Hero will step out
into their own spotlight to headline the month
long “Heads Will Roll” Tour, sponsored by
Merch Now, Atticus Clothing and MetalSucks.net.
From pulling in their own packed, sweaty crowds
on the Ernie Ball stage at last summer’s
Vans Warped Tour, to their recent treks as
support for Unearth and As I Lay Dying,
Protest the Hero have proven they have both
the determination and the chops to step out
in front of crowds of all types and win over
new fans. Misery Signals, The Number Twelve
Looks Like You, Scale The Summit, and Fall
From Grace will join them as support. Tickets
are on sale now.

'Fortress' was one of the most favorably
reviewed heavy records of 2008. Protest The
Hero has earned the title of “Muse for metalheads”
from Revolver, who graded the album
4.5/5, in addition to scores of 4/5 stars from
Alternative Press and 8/10 from Decibel.

In addition, Protest The Hero was also
recently nominated for a Juno in the category
of “Best Rock Album.”

Ok, two things. I miss all the good bands that come to Wisconsin. And bands that are good rarely come to Wisconsin....Protest being one of them.
