The CD, produced by Joe Baressi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE), will receive a limited-edition vinyl release on April 21st. TOOL's Adam Jones contributed guitar on two songs from the LP.

Guitarist/vocalist Aaron Turner recently discussed the new album with Billboard. "This is a better sonic representation of what the band actually sounds like," Turner explains. "In the past I think some of the recordings were a little too clean in their final form. There was something about the energy that seemed to be lacking. It seems to feel more like us than anything else has."

Drummer Aaron Harris added, "I feel a sense of completion with this record that I've never felt before. We spent more time creating this record than we have with any other, and I feel in my heart that this record is in many ways our best."

Cover art was once again created by Turner.

The track listing for Wavering Radiant is as follows:

1. Hall Of The Dead

2. Ghost Key

3. Hand Of The Host

4. Wavering Radiant

5. Stone To Wake A Serpent

6. 20 Minutes / 40 Years

7. Threshold of Transformation

I've never noticed them having a lack of energy.

Yeah, not too sure what they're talking about with that. Anyway, I'm psyched for this.

Here is track 6 performed live.

My friend has seen Isis live and noted the huge difference in energy between that show and their studio albums. So it should be interesting to see what they mean by 'our best' and 'closest sonic representation'.

Either way, this is going to be kickass.

At least 4 out of 5 stars. This is basically an ambient rock album with spotty uses of gutteral vocals and slow metal chords. theres even a bit quick metal here with the use of chugga chugga like chords in some tracks. Jeff Caxide seems to have found his signature tone, as he uses it about 90% of the time on this album, but trust me, its a good thing. although its a little short for their standards at 54 minutes, it is spectacular nonetheless, and i can say that after only one listen.

Sunn O))) was designed for people who like the brown noise. I don't really enjoy wearing a diaper when I listen to metal.
