Wow, Ok, so that is ENOUGH Slash-bashing. I will eat my hat if anyone can name a guitarist who writes more humm-able solos then him. He has got the most amazing sense of melody and has perfected the art of emotive rock soloing.
Also, Chinese Democracy is criminally underrated - I have infinite respect and reverence for Axl Rose's talent as a vocalist and songwriter. Shame there will be no original Gunners reunion (christ, they'd make a fortune) but where the band is at now is, I feel, where Axl always wanted it to be (at least creatively). Bring on a new Velvets record.

Slash is a good guitarist, but he is inferior to the sheer awesomeness of Opeth and Buckethead. GNR sucks dicks. They always have. Axl Rose is quite possibly the biggest cocksucker with the biggest ego in rock music. Fuck that guy.

Wow what is with the Slash hating? I guess riffs don't count for anything hear you've got to be Satriani (how many people can hum a riff from him? Go ask the next person you see to either hum a Satriani riff or the opening to Sweet Child O' Mine).
Seriously...I'm sure you can all solo like crazy in your room alone. Slash worked hard to get where he is, and from everything I've seen he's a down to earth guy. He's certainly better off than the "virtuoso" guitarists who have to sue Coldplay to pay the bills.

GnR has a couple of decent songs and thats it. Slash has became very overrated since he appeared on guitar hero. Slash overall is just an average guitar player. Yes he can wright some catchy riffs, but that doesn't mean the riffs are good. I believe Buckethead was the best GnR guitarist.

Some people can feel free to criticize how much they want to.
However, Slash and Axl will be respected for their work forever
since both are great in what they do, or else... ppl wouldn't even come here to keep repeating their famous names [/fact. But... unfortunately,for their fans, the truth is that [new] GN'R will never be as good as they were. "If" Duff and Izzy could come back, it'd be really something for sure, like xtakenbyforcex said above.
But it's unbelievable that Axl keep talking about these conjectures. It's been years since the old gunners had been left the band - he should turn this page.
Sad but True.
