blooddrunk over Lazarus Bird equals major lawl.
Hell, blooddrunk over just about anything this year is pretty laughable.

ASOP was very good but I wouldn't rate it best metal album of the year I don't think.

I think this list was simply a listener's list of the top albums so don't be too offended music snobs.

A very Swedish list, you can tell. Still, Sense of purpose at number 1 is just silly though, but so very typically Swedish. The inclusions of Cult of Luna, Division of Laura Lee and The Hellacopters ftw!

And lmao at people still enquiring on the whereabouts of Cynic! This IS a list they should be in though of course!......

This is the listener voted list, not the actual magazine staff list.

Just to clear that up.

Exactly. It doesn't really count for anything as P3 Rock is just a show that gets 1 hour 57 minutes of airing time per week...

I do listen to P3 Soul, but that's actually really good so...
Not many people listen to P3 Rock...but hey, fun to see In Flames and Division of Laura Lee on the same list. Never thought that'd happen.

of course ASOP isn`t the best metal album of the year but it is still great IMO

Well this is better than some of the list I have seen. Having albums like Twlight of the Thunder God, Lazarus Bird, obZen, and Watershed is good enough I guess.

Not nearly as surprising for a Swedish list as the users here make it out to be. A Sense of Purpose won the Swedish grammy for best metal album too, so that should let you know how much the Swedes are into them.

For a list that everyones bashing, I've seen 99% of these bands given shout-outs, reviews and ratings for the last half year to so, shouldn't be that big a shock.

Even though I liked the new In Flames, it definitely shouldn't be first. That goes to either Cynic or Amon Amarth IMO.

Sorry excuse for a list.

4) SONIC SYNDICATE – Love And Other Disasters

5) METALLICA – Death Magnetic

6) SLIPKNOT - All Hope Is Gone

7) HAUNTED – Versus

8) TRIVIUM – Shogun

9) GOJIRA – The Way Of All Flesh

10) HELLACOPTERS – Head Off

11) CHILDREN OF BODOM – Blooddrunk

12) AC/DC – Black Ice

How is that all better than ObZen?

And how did In Flames' new album get #1....

obZen is overrated. But this list is pretty crappy, wtf is sonic syndicate doing on the list? they suck. And In Flames shouldn't be on this list either.
