As promised, we have created a thread where users can make a formal application to be considered for creation as a contributing reviewer, which will now be viewed as a prospective "stepping stone" to joining the staff.
In step with the staff promotions last month, four users were promoted to contributor- spoon_of_grimbo, Altmer, Thor and DaveyBoy- while rasputin was added at a later date. All were well deserved.
The rules this time round are identical to the Staff Application Thread, although as this will be a running thread, you are permitted to submit additional applications after a reasonable period of time has elapsed and you feel your skills have significantly improved.
Please don't hesitate to submit an application as, ultimately, it improves your chances of being noticed.

In 2-3 paragraphs (roughly... you can write more or less if you feel it's necessary), outline why you should be considered for a promotion to a contributor writing position.
