GAMA BOMB POST TOUR REPORT

2008-10-01 by Kangaroo | 10 Comments
For the past few weeks, Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have been making their way across Europe on the THRASHING LIKE A MANIAC tour with LA shredders BONDED BY BLOOD and UK support act SWORN AMONGST, spreading the good word of thrash wherever they go.

The band comments on the tour so far: "So here we are, two weeks into our five-week European tour. We've already come so far and done so much we can't do it justice in a simple, mortal blog, but here goes: we started in Berlin, where we accidentally played to a neo-Nazi biker gang, then we wound through Europe, finding ourselves in the Italian wilderness, high in the Alps and sweltering at the far end of Portugal along the way. It's been very, very hot so far, but we're now encountering a cooler, Northern European leg of the tour."

Find out more about the shows, injuries and things the band have learned by reading the full tour report at tinyurl.com/4uvecu

Along with a night of face-melting thrash, GAMA BOMB are offering something else to the fans who attend the shows: redemption. If you haven't already heard, GAMA BOMB recently announced their STAMP OUT INFERIOR METAL campaign! At each show of the 10,000-mile, eleven-country THRASHING LIKE A MANIAC European tour, GAMA BOMB invite and encourage you to bring along the worst of your music collections - the embarrassing, the awkward and the downright rubbish CDs, records and merchandise hidden amongst your better purchases - and to collect them together so both you and GAMA BOMB can do what should have been done long ago - ritually shred, stamp and smash the living hell out of them!

With the THRASHING LIKE A MANIAC tour already well underway, it's time to confess your sins! Grab your LINKIN PARK, LIMP BIZKIT and ORGY albums, and any other nu-metal, emo or "inferior" metal you have stashed away and bring them out to the THRASHING LIKE A MANIAC European tour, whereupon they will be ceremoniously smashed, stamped on, frisbee'd and generally destroyed as part of the set, live onstage.

To start the bandwagon rolling on the STAMP OUT INFERIOR METAL campaign, EARACHE RECORDS have made a very special donation of 1,000 copies of "PLANETS" by ADEMA to this worthy cause!

Gama Bomb fuckin own. Stomping old Adema and other crappy nu-metal records with Gama Bomb sounds like a win.

Stamp out inferior metal!

That is f**king genius!

I wonder how bad Adema feel to have a load of their albums donated by their label for a cause like that... Well they're gay anyway.

Just listened to this band and I can safely say I'll be going to the Bristol gig, and maybe dusting off a Linkin Park or a Taproot albumto take with me.

These guys are quality, can't believe I'd never heard their stuff before!

That's a really cool idea... but do I see Define the Great Line on the flyer, or am I wrong?
They should't have done that.
