2008-08-11 by Athom EMERITUS | 24 Comments
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have signed on to be the musical act for the Super Bowl XLIII halftime show. This marks the fitfth year in a row that the NFL has tapped veteran acts in an effort to forget about the Janet Jackson titty fiasco.

^^^ Well yeah, Panthers have been my favorite team for many years now. One of the greatest games i've ever seen although I have never been crushed as hard as that night before. Talk about heartbreak man, 32-29. Fuck Vinateri, he's still on my hit list. Also, there was a streaker in that game that got layed out which brought the lols.

First Prince and now the Boss? Hell yes. Even Tom Petty wasn't that bad. It's weird how they went from the worst shows ever to the first ones that actually rocked within a few years.

This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer is writing the half time show and they show a bunch of examples and he says "Every super Bowl half time show has been great!"

lol.

Tom Brady can get pummeled by a Bronco for all I care and I wouldn't help him out. Seriously, fuck that guy but Tom Petty was cool, I hadn't heard Free Falling in years.

and what better way to hear it than by a voiceover because tom petty is too old to hit the high note!

Hell yes. Hell, the Boss might even make watching the game worth it. :p

Here's to hoping that none of the guys experience any wardrobe malfunctions. :pThis Message Edited On 08.12.08

If opeth were to play at the super bowl, I don't know what I would do (I mean besides watching them perform and loving it being the fanboy I am)
