"I don't think the world will be ready for this album." ....................
|

Well their other albums weren't all that heavy, so if this one is going to rip my face off...it better be much different.
|
| |
I have NO faith in this album.
|
| |
Well their other albums weren't all that heavy, so if this one is going to rip my face off...it better be much different.
Dude, Iowa was freaking heavy as all shit. Whether you like them or not, they were super duper heavy back in the day.
|
| |
Remember how Charles Bronson made like 37 Death Wish movies, not because they needed to be made or because they were any good, but simply because he felt like it?
I think Slipknot is experiencing the same thing. Darn shame.
|
| |
Except for the fact that they haven't really put out a bad album, inserttacoshere. Its just a cool thing to hate on slipknot nowadays. I am saying this and they're not even in my top 15 fav bands.

before I forget and I should wait and bleed before the heretic anthem proclaims people = shit.

I, however, have no particular attachment to my face, so I will be getting this. This Message Edited On 05.14.08

Nah I don't hate Slipknot. Vol 3 wasn't a bad cd. But I feel like even with the bit of maturity that they shown with each new album, they're not really offering anything different or doing anything that nobody's heard before. It's all kind of trite. But then again, I like Norma Jean and As I Lay Dying, neither of whom are exactly groundbreaking nowadays either. In all fairness, I hope that Corey Taylor proves me wrong and this is the best and most innovative Slipknot that anyone could imagine.
|
| |
"I don't think the world will be ready for this album." Tom Delonge will say this in two years about the new Angels and Airwaves record.
|
| |
With horrific earthquakes in China and totalitarian isolationist countries denying aid to their own residents (i.e., Myanmar), I agree that the world is probably not ready for another array of mindless songs, although I very much respect Corey Taylor’s vocal abilities.
|
| |
I hope Corey's voice isn't shot to hell on this one, on Vol.3 and subsequent live performances his voice sounded like it was absolutely wrecked.
|
| |
It's going to rip your face off," says Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor. "I don't think the world will be ready for this album."
Why does that make me laugh, lol
|
| |
^^^At least Corey's excited about it lol
I liked Subliminal Verses very much, but something tells me this is gonna be more of the same in the worst possible way, but we'll see.
|
| |
Why didnt they write an album that the world would be ready for? I mean where they fvkc are they going to release it? Fvcking MARS???
|
| |
Actually pretty exited for this release. Slipknot has some good material, especially on Vol.3, so I'm hoping that this'll be even better. Something about this gives me a good feeling.
|
| |
"Dude, Iowa was freaking heavy as all ****. Whether you like them or not, they were super duper heavy back in the day."
...if you say so.
|
| |
To Cocaine and PIGS...
LMFAO!
|
| |
I actually quite like Slipknot. Hopefully this album will be pretty rad.
|
| |
Their last album blew chunks and this is going to be awful as well.
|
| |
Needs moar clown who smashes trash cans!
|
| |
more like FGTS UNITE, amirite?
|
| |
Riiight...so were back 2 the good ol' days when the "bash Slipknot" bandwagon is back in motion! How fun I cant wait to make fun of how much Corey Taylor sux and how ridiculous this band is!!!
No, seriously, this albums going to kick some ass. Pretty much the only thing that could fuck this up is Corey but I have faith in him...
|
| |
What do you mean the good ol' days? When did ripping on Slipknot ever stop?
|
| |
Vol.3 was decent, if they carry on along that path then ima gonna get this.
|
| |
I actually somewhat like this band, but Odal's comment just made my day.
|
| |
'I don't think the World will be ready for how generic this album will be.'
MOAR MEMBERZ PLZ!!!! CLOWNZ 4 LIFE!!
|
| |
Yes another suckfest from this horrible band.
|
| |
Iowa (the album) was the heaviest thing my ears had ever heard when it first came out. I thought it was straight death metal or something.
|
| |
sad
|
| |
happy
|
| |
Vol. 3 was a master piece so if their new album is anything like it I think it's worth a listen to.
|
| |
Have to agree with this guy. Vol. 3 was a masterpiece.
If by masterpiece you mean a bunch of grown men hitting cans and pissing on drums.
|
| |
Seriously, how long could it possibly take to write a new Slipknot album. I could write the guitar riffs for every song in 3 hours tops. That "How to play like an ass****" video on youtube says it all.
|
| |
I GOT IT THEY R TAKIG METAL TO THE FISHES BECUZ THE WORLD IS NOT REDDY FOR ALBUM
|
| |
Slipknot ok, I liked before i forget so i hope there are songs like that in this album
|
| |
That "How to play like an *******" video on youtube says it all.
Hahahahahaha
Still interested to see how this turns out.
|
| |
I'll still listen to this.
|
| |
Well... At least one of the advantages that Slipknot has going for them at the moment is that the standards set down for them are not so high.
|
| |
i think Slipknot is a guilty pleasure few people (particularly metal-heads) will admit to. but i'll admit to it.
|
| |
To Insert Tacos: All the Deathwish movies are essential and necessary.
Maybe this will get my wife into listening to good music again, she was a huge slipknot fan but now she listens to pop
:-(
|
| |
Eck...
"I don't think the world will be ready for this album".
I don't think the world cares at this point. Slipknot are rather predictable. I already know what it'll sound like.
Unless they do the obligatory "difficult" trip-hop album. Which would be rather amusing. Or, like, a booty bass record.
|
| |
This band's not that bad, they just make a lot of mistakes. They could be good.
|
| |
I'm actually kinda excited for this release. I like Vol 3 quite a bit, and just the fact that it's been over four years since any new material makes me curious to see if they have evolved or not.
|
| |
hmmm..... im not sure i also would like to keep my face but the fact that i doubt this cd will do that i will still listen to it im sure... cory is a goofy dude...
