how bout trent waits another five years and makes another masterpiece instead of tryin to throw out as much material as possible. whatev i still love you reznor
|
| |
This is very informative.
|
| |
The only reason Trent waited so long in between releases is because he was a.) baked out of his mind b.) trying to "find himself" or c.) being Trent.
|
| |
Trent's a ninja.
|
| |
an INDUSTRIAL ninja.
|
| |
Trent's a weak songwriter now!
|
| |
Or he could wait 2-3 years and put out something excellent... long breaks between albums sometimes pay off but they're no guarantee of good material. (Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Tool) Seriously With Teeth and Year Zero were nothing special
|
| |
Not quite. Trent is definitely always very good compared to 90% of the crap being sold out there. NIN is pretty great. TDS and The Fragile are some of the best records ever made IMHO.
|
| |
Well, considering there was a 6 year break between The Fragile and With Teeth, your theory is flawed. This Message Edited On 02.10.08

This is hardly news. I find your speculation to be optimistic considering his vague statement, although there is no doubt in my mind that YZ2 will come sooner rather than later.
|
| |
This is lame news.
I expect YZ Pt. 2 in 2009
|
| |
Hopefully not a Year Zero movie...
Please Trent, just stick to the music...
Hopefully not another useless remix album, either...
|
| |
whoa who just bashed Tool...they must die...Tool's new album was awesome fool.
I can't wait for this
|
| |
10,000 wasn't awesome, but it was pretty good.
I quite liked Year Zero; I want Trent to work with Saul Williams more. Perhaps a tour of sorts?
|
| |
Wait...who bashed 10,000 Days? I'll go ape shit on them.
EDIT: I think he just meant they took a long time between albums. Linkin Park (new) and Tool should NEVER be mentioned in the same sentence, however. This Message Edited On 02.10.08

does anybody know if NIN had a U.S. tour for YZ yet? I must have been in a coma if i missed it..
|
| |
10,000 days is okay, but it's inconsistent. It's really good songs punctured with some pretty awful ones.
|
| |
I think Trent is just talking about trying a new hair style.

I'm pretty sure there are no more dates, but I was keeping my eye out and I never saw them come around here. In fact it seemed like one day I was reading about tours over in the eastern hemisphere and the next I was reading about the last (or nearly last?) show in Hawaii.
Dunno though, check the website. www.nin.com

sorry, Year Zero's NIN's best album- it's clear, concise, witty, atmospheric, and adventurous. it's not quite Broken, but hey, what is?
i think YZ2 is better sooner than later- i anticipate a full-concept album tour The Wall style.

everything after the downward spiral
started a downward spiral

Hey come on here bunit9488! What about the Fragile?
That was his creative peak in my mind. I think you should rephrase that and say, "It was a fragile time in his career since everything I loved about that album was smashed to shit with his new approach to writing" (ie. With Teeth and YZ).This Message Edited On 02.12.08
